Owner & operator
This is Jon.
Veteran. Family man. The operator who shows up to run every job himself.
Jon and his wife.
The man behind the machine
You hire Viking,
you get me.
I'm Jonathan Sprouse. Jon to most folks. I'm a veteran, a husband, and a father, and after more than ten years in the excavating and construction industry, I'm proud to have launched my own business right here in Asheville, North Carolina. Viking Grading Solutions is mine. When you hire it, you get me: the one who walks your property, the one in the cab, and the one who answers for the job when it's done.
These mountains are steep-ground country. They're also home. Water wants to move and dirt wants to slide, and it takes somebody who can read terrain to shape it right. I've got hands-on experience in grading, land clearing, stormwater control, forestry mulching, retaining wall construction, concrete work, demolition, and disaster clean-up. I didn't learn any of it from behind a desk. I learned it on the machine, in the weather, on ground that doesn't forgive mistakes.
Here's what I believe. Answer honest. Show up when you say you will. Do the job right the first time, so you're not paying twice to fix it. At Viking Grading Solutions, honesty and efficiency come standard, and I'm committed to delivering high-quality results you can count on.
I'm building this company to be something my kids can be proud of. Every job I take carries my name home with me at the end of the day, and I don't put my name on sloppy work. I'm fully insured, and I treat your property like it's my own, because I know what it means to you.
Whatever your project needs, you can trust us to get it done with precision and care. Estimates are always free. Send me a request and I'll come take a look at your ground myself. I'd be proud to earn your work. God bless America!
Built different
Two things shaped how
Jon runs a job site.
None of them happened in a classroom.

The Service
Military discipline: show up, do the work, take care of your people. It's why every Viking Grading job starts on time and ends with the site squared away before anyone drives off.
The Mountain
Snowboarding steep terrain means reading the ground before you commit to a line. Jon reads a job site the same way, reading where it drops and where it holds, before anything gets cut.
What we stand on
Four things. Non-negotiable.
Honesty
You get the real answer, not the easy one.
Discipline
We show up, and we finish.
Craft
Grade it right the first time.
Family
We build like our name is on it. Because it is.
